In our last Newsletter, we reported on the Charity Activities of a few members of staff. Here is an update:
Pareen Shah completed the London to Brighton Bike Ride and raised £840 for the British Heart Foundation and would like to thank everyone who sponsored him. He may well repeat the fundraising at the same event next year.
John & Jenny Welch’s daughters have now returned from Uganda where they had been as part of a church mission to Watoto Child Care Ministries. Their experience included helping with the building of a home that was to house 8 orphan children, to give much needed support to the women who had been mutilated in the recent civil war, and to assist with a project aimed at keeping girls in school to complete their education. On a beautiful summers day, 20th July 2013, our QA & Archives Administrator Agnes Syroka-Wujkowska and her beloved husband Adam, stepped into a new wedded life. They were married in a civil ceremony, attended by 100 guests, followed by a traditional Polish wedding reception with music, dancing and great food. The ceremony and reception took place in a small town Kloczew, near Warsaw in Poland.
All at Butterworth wish them every happiness!
