Butterworth have been continuously accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) since its formation in 1983. Butterworth are inspected annually by UKAS in order to maintain accredited status to the internationally recognised ISO17025: General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
The management system requirements in ISO17025 (Section 8) are written in a language relevant to laboratory operations and generally meet the principles of ISO9001: Quality Management Systems.

Our ISO17025 certificate does not have an expiry date. The presence of an active Schedule of Accreditation on the UKAS website confirms that we remain accredited to this standard (see link below). Our accreditation number is 0215 and we are inspected by UKAS for compliance with ISO17025 annually.
